Step-by-Step...

Connecting your Windows 10 desktop to a server on your network.  

(You'll need the path of the shared folder from your administrator.  i.e.  \\ ‘host name’ or IP address \ and the share point name.)

Go to the Start menu, File Explorer 

File Explorer may also be pinned to your taskbar…

You may also use the keyboard press the Windows key and press E for File Explorer.

Click ‘This PC’ > ‘Map Network Drive’ and select a Drive letter. 

Type \\ ‘host name’ or IP address \ and the share point name,  get these details from your network administrator.

I prefer using ‘Connect using different credentials. Type user name and password

click OK, and now you've connected to your Windows share point.

You may remove the mapping of your Windows share point, Click ‘This PC’, right-click, select ‘Disconnect’.
